Clifton Wayne Williams, 56, of Lampasas passed away May 3, 2003. He was born September 23, 1946 in San Saba, Texas, the son of C. B. "Red" Williams and Marjorie Bagley. On July 11, 1998, he married Beatrice Contreras in San Antonio, Texas. He was a rancher and truck driver and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Lampasas community since 1968.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Williams of Lampasas; son, Sammy Wayne Williams of Bryan; daughter Keli Sue Williams of Hearne; step-daughters include Erica Brown, Teresa Hildalgo, Sarah Hildalgo and Lanita Hildalgo all of Lampasas; brother Phil Williams of San Antonio; sister, Vicki Brown and Lester of Bend; four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, Texas with Deacon Carlos Jasso officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Assocation.
